India and Sikkim 2009
We spent much more time in Varanasi on ths trip. There is always so much happening, and so many characters I felt that I needed longer to absorb it all. After the Shivaratri festival we left and went to Sikkim. So different to where we had been,this is a Himalayan state sandwiched between Nepal, Tibet, Bangladesh and Bhutan, with a very small corridor connecting it with India. It is populated mainly by Tibetan, Nepali and also many tribal people including the Limboo.
