Sitting on hard cramped seats for hours, very little rest
and no prospect of good food for a long while.
Arriving in Coonoor tired and sweaty was one such journey.
We were standing on the bridge over the river,
and as the sun was going down
it lit up the town and shacks on the opposite bank.
Although not a traditionally beautiful view,
there was a defiance that said - this is how we live.
