1991 - 2007
in my 30 years of travel. I even lived there for 7 years.
Even though it has changed it remains unchanging,
able to absorb almost anything
including a doubling of population in 26 years.
It is multi layered in a way that is hard to explain,
it seems you have to experience it.
You love it and hate it in equal measure.
But it is the people that you come away remembering the most.
Their warmth and generosity,
for many in the face of an extremely harsh life,
is humbling,
and somthing I have never forgotton.
